EA’s Ben Cousins has tweeted that he is currently in London to show a new, unannounced Battlefield game to the press. The news will apparently go break on Friday.
Cousins heads up EA’s Easy Studio, which is responsible for various free-to-play titles from the publisher, such as Battlefield Heroes.
This has lead to speculation that EA will be releasing another casual Battlefield shooter. Shacknews was quick to point out that EA recently announce a five-year “strategy relationship” with Facebook, so we are betting the game will tie into that somehow.
EA has been milking the Battlefield brand hard of late, with Bad Company 2, followed by its forthcoming expansion, and not to mention the hotly anticipated Battlefield 3.
