Multiplayer sucks, why the hell does there have have to be all these shitty ranks and points and classes and multiple messages informing of some bullshit that I unlocked or achieved somewhere. Good god what happened to the days I could just join the game, it’d drop me in some map full of guns, I could run around and shoot all the mofos I want and then quit. Guys, there’s genius in simplicity.
SnapMap is wonderful so happy for all the years and years people have spent trying to make the right editing tools for doom. custom map mapers like me love you id.
Single player is a lot of fun and was really addictive. It got a little bit repetitive at the end there but was mostly an amazing experience. I miss the atmosphere of Doom 3 a little bit though. Doom,3 was really good at using pda recordings and videos to set a good mood. I’m not expecting Shakespeare with Doom’s plot not at all.. but still Dr Betruger and his evil laugh is much more memorable than the characters featured in Doom 4.
Good game, maybe wait for a sale or something.. but I think 8/10 is a suitable score.
