Blizzard has maintained its firm anti-cheating stance against Overwatch hackers, and is taking strong action against all types of cheating.

The company has recently issued a massive wave of bans against Overwatch cheaters, permanently banning a total of 1,572 players from the game.

PC Gamer rounded up a number of posts by the banned players, in which the cheaters express their anger at being permanently banned from the game.

Blizzard has reportedly also been issuing a series of bans to cheaters who attempt to buy the game again, with one player buying the game four times before admitting defeat.

Although Blizzard’s permanent bans and strong anti-cheating action are admirable, Overwatch players should be wary of false positives which may get them permanently banned from the game.

Thankfully, most reports confirm that the majority of banned users are actual cheaters.
