Portal 2 co-op mode features its own end credits

25 January 2011

If you’re planning on going 2-UP against GLaDOS in Portal 2, Valve has a little something for the both of you.

Talking to VideoGamer.com, Valve’s Chet Faliszek has revealed that the game features a dedicated credits sequence for both the single-player and co-op modes.

“Both sets of credits [will feature something special], because we’ve got two credits,” said Faliszek.”So we had to do something twice as amazing.”

It’s already been confirmed that Jonathan Coulton, the guy who wrote Portal’s instantly classic credit tune Still Alive, is back onboard for the sequel.

Faliszek is not saying anything more about it, though. “Noooooo, come on! The cool thing is that we’ll make sure that the game doesn’t get too difficult – it’s more complex – it’s never so difficult that you can’t solve it.You’ll get to the endings. We’d hate to think that people would only watch the endings on YouTube.”

In co-op, both players are equipped with portal guns, and can use each other’s as necessary to solve puzzles.
