Struggling to find one of Nvidia’s new Pascal cards? Major hardware outlets around the world have reportedly received less than ten items for sale, while even major online retailers like Amazon and Newegg have reportedly sold out in minutes.

The shortage is a worldwide issue, according to Chinese hardware site Yibada and semiconductor foundry TSMC is to blame.

TSMC is reportedly having trouble producing the 16nm FinFET chips that power the Pascal GPUs in the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

Coupled with the high demand from the public, the lack of supply does really pose a conundrum for those who have not bought the cards yet.

Due to the problems in the supply, some retailers and scalpers are already gouging the prices for the Pascal cards. One EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 was even priced at $2000 (R30,000) on Amazon, TechFrag reported.
