Those of you who are familiar with the Pokemon games will know that you are typically given your choice of three starter Pokemon.
Pokemon GO is no different, with Professor Willow offering you your choice of one of Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
There is however a fourth unlockable Pokemon, Pickachu, which can secretly be unlocked as a starter.
At the start of the game, don’t tap on any of the three available starters. Instead, walk away so that they disappear towards the edge of the screen.
They will reappear in the centre of your map – ignore them and once again walk away so that they start disappearing towards the fringe of your map.
Repeating this process three or four times and the three Pokemon will be joined by a mysterious fourth – Pickachu!
