Pokémon Go is available in 26 more countries, the game’s Facebook page has revealed.
Unfortunately, South Africa is not on the list of supported nations.
The game is developed by Google spin-off Niantic, with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, and its popularity put severe strain on Niantic’s servers.
This resulted in the company “pausing” its international roll-out recently.
The newly-supported countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Pokemon Go is reportedly set to officially release in South Africa “soon”.
