Everyone loves a good controversy, and they don’t come much more enticing than Fox News claiming that video games are responsible for increasing rape statistics. That’s exactly what happened this week, with the ongoing ordeal spreading itself across three news articles.
We are particularly impressed with how well EA are creating hype for Battlefield 3, with information being released in dribs and drabs. It has been a while since something as anticiapted as BF3 has come along, and according to this week’s reader poll, nine out of every ten readers are more excited about it than they are about the next Call of Duty. Could BF3 be the game that takes back the FPS genre for EA?
Otherwise, uncharacteristic mumblings were heard coming from Blizzard HQ, with talk of Diablo III hopefully hitting shelves this year, and another unconfirmed release from this studio due out next year.
