It’s official. Again. Back in November last year, Blizzard advertised a bunch of jobs for a “Diablo-related concept” on console, but wouldn’t say anything more on the matter.
While the company has refused to commit to the possibility of a console launch one way or the other, Blizz prez Mike Morhaime recently said that, “I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It’s something that we’re actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.”
Now they’ve only gone and posted an employment vacancy over on Gamasutra titled – somewhat unambiguously – “Senior Producer, Console Diablo III”.
According to the posting, “Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communications and project management skills for the Diablo team. The ideal candidate has prior experience in console game development and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts.”
Ladies, gentlemen, and Dark Wanderers – Diablo III is coming to consoles.
