Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood “Da Vinci Disappearance” DLC announced

18 February 2011

Nothing is true, everything is permitted, and Ubisoft’s just announced a premium single- and multiplayer add-on for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Dubbed “Da Vinci’s Disappearance”, the DLC has – wait for it – Da Vinci disappearing, and the Assassins to the rescue. SMOKE BOMBS AWAY!

According to the press stuff, “After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind. Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way.”

The DLC also features a heap of new multiplayer stuff, including four new characters – the Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah – as well as a new urban map, Alhambra. Two new modes are also bundled in, Escort and Assassinate. The first is a team-based VIP bodyguard mode, and the other a regular, free-for-all 10-minute deathmatch.

It’s due to drop around “the beginning of March 2011”, and tagged at 800 MSP on Xbox and $9.99 on PSN.
