Telkom big deal

Telkom has offered a R500,000 reward to anyone who has information regarding the sabotage of several of its lines and facilities..

Over 132,000 Telkom users have been hit by outages this last week after the company’s lines were deliberately sabotaged.

This is likely as a result of the ongoing Communication Workers Union strike, which is currently well into its 4th week.

Telkom said those responsible for the attacks “knew what they were doing”.

“Cables have been cut to cause maximum damage. Entire street distribution cabinets have been ripped apart and, in a few instances yesterday, set on fire.”

Have any of your Telkom lines been affected by the sabotage? Let us know in the comments below and in our forums.
