Codemasters bounces from Numetro to Megarom

Codemasters today announced that local video games distributor Megarom Interactive, will be the exclusive distribution partner for Codemasters’ product portfolio in the South African market, including the highly anticipated titles Operation Flashpoint: Red River and DiRT 3, both out in Spring 2011.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Megarom in what is sure to be our biggest year ever, not only with the soon to be released Operation Flashpoint: Red River and DiRT 3, but also with one of our most exciting new IP’s, Bodycount, which is also slated for release in 2011,” commented Hal Bame, Director Distributor Territories and Emerging Markets. “Megarom has a proven track record on the South African market and all of us at Codemasters are confident they have the expertise and enthusiasm to maximise our business and entire product portfolio across all current and future formats.”

Megarom is one of SA’s most established distributors, managing publishers such as Take Two Interactive, Activision Blizzard, NCSoft and Ubisoft. Numetro is relatively new to games distribution, and still has partnerships with Capcom, Sega and Square Enix.
