SETI Astronomers discover actual source of alien signal

1 September 2016

MyGaming recently reported on a powerful alien signal discovered by SETI Astronomers.

The signal was reportedly so strong that researchers believed it originated from an isotropic beacon and “would be of a power possible only for a Kardashev Type II civilization”.

It turns out the signal originated terrestrially, reports Ars Technica.

The Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences has released a statement on the detection of a radio signal at the RATAN-600 radio astronomy observatory in southern Russia.

“Subsequent processing and analysis of the signal revealed its most probable terrestrial origin,” the Russian scientists said.
