In a recent interview with BBC Radio 5Live (via MCVUK), the Lancashire, UK-based therapist claimed that, “Spending two hours on a game station is equivalent to taking a line of cocaine in the high it produces in the brain. It’s the silent killer of our generation.”
The silent killer. He’s not done with “game station”, though.
“We’re now onto second generation game station [Lol – Ed] players who have always grown up with it. Computer game addiction can also spiral into violence as after playing violent games, they may turn their fantasy games into reality,” he explained. “It is the fastest growing addiction in the country and this is affecting young people mentally and physically.”
Oh come on, Steve. You can’t even seem to pick a proper side in the PC vs console war here. How is anybody supposed to take you seriously? Try harder.
