Coming just a few weeks after Microsoft and Nvidia abandoned the PC Gaming Alliance, Sony DADC (the division responsible for handling products including the rather controversial SecuRom DRM) has also quit, while Dell has downgraded its membership from “Promoter” to “Contributor”.

According to Big Download, the latest departure leaves only Epic Games, Razer, Capcom, and Intel as “Promoter”-level members of the industry’s chess club.

Nobody over on the PCGA’s website has made any official announcement about it, although losing their DRM rep can’t be all that bad, can it?

Organisation prez Matt Ployhar recently predicted a good (better?) year for PC gaming, saying “Large game publishers are looking at digital revenue on the PC game platform as one of their key areas of growth and it is clear that the performance of the PC game market in 2010 is resulting in substantial investment money flowing into the PC game business.”
