If you try to visit G3AR.co.za you will be greeted with an error message saying the website is no longer available.

Googling the webpage provides no mention of gaming, but rather “Quick Flip References For Common Core State Standards Gr 11 – 12″ and a warning from Google that the website has possibly been hacked.

While we could not access the site directly, we subsequently used The Wayback Machine to see what the site looked like on 12 October, and it looks like the site was hacked with Chinese text displayed prominently at the top of the screen.

An industry source said that G3AR has been killed off by publisher Panorama and would not be used further.

The source was unsure about the hack, but said it was plausible that the site could’ve been hacked as it was not being actively monitored.

The G3AR writing team has officially been moved to GameArena.co.za in a bid to both simultaneously reboot the website and distance themselves from the G3AR name.

We contacted publisher Panorama Media, which said that it no longer owns the G3AR website.
