XBL’s director of policy and enforcement gets hacked

4 April 2011

Sometime on Sunday, an as-yet unidentified hacker managed to take over the Xbox LIVE director of policy and enforcement’s personal website and Xbox LIVE account, in retaliation for “console banning [him] over 35 times”. Apparently this guy still hasn’t quite worked out what exactly he’s doing wrong.

Stephen “stepto” Toulouse is responsible for maintaining Xbox LIVE’s hitlist, which pretty much makes him public enemy #1 for people who like cheating and playing pirated games on Microsoft’s online service.

At the time of writing this, Toulouse’s domain (stepto.com) had been yanked by webhost Network Solutions, pending an investigation. In the meantime, he’s asked that nobody send email to that address.

The hacker, going by the alias MrPredatorSik, has uploaded a video of the account jacking over on YouTube, presumably in an attempt to be cool and famous or something, and advertise his hacking skillz for “PayPal or AlertPay”. Instead, he just comes off as a narcissistic brat with no clue.
