Executive producer Christian Dailey has resigned from BioWare’s upcoming Dragon Age project.

BioWare general manager Gary McKay confirmed the news in a blog post on 23 February.

Daily’s departure follows previous executive producer Mark Darrah’s resignation in December 2020, making this the second executive producer to leave the project.

In addition to these departures, the Dragon Age team recently lost its senior creative director, Matt Goldman, in November 2021.

A string of departures in short succession like this never bodes well, but McKay reassured fans that the team is being led by a “strong leadership team of industry and Dragon Age veterans”.

McKay stated that the new Dragon Age entry has passed the concept and pre-production phases and is currently in the middle of the production phase.

Fans of the Dragon Age franchise can expect more information about the upcoming title to arrive later in the year.
