Multi-gaming organization brand Bravado Gaming has announced its entry into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) gaming industry as part of its global expansion strategy.
The company hopes to extend its regional fanbase while also giving local gamers a revamped gaming experience.
With support from their sponsors – Alienware, Intel, and Dell Gaming – Bravado will be setting up bases in South Africa, Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia in the cities of Johannesburg, Cairo, Dubai, and Riyadh respectively.
Bravado’s decision to expand comes from the growing popularity of eSports worldwide, as the MENA gaming market has a combined revenue of over $1.7 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach over $3 billion by 2025.
This global expansion exercise will include the following:
New divisions
Bravado will be competing in Valorant for the first time in the company’s history.
According to Bravado CEO and founder Andreas Hadjipaschali, the team will be primarily based in Egypt and will consist of five players and a coach.
“The new squad is highly motivated and passionate to compete at the highest level possible,” said Andreas.
Another new division will be Fortnite, and its roster will span across South Africa, Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
Other new divisions being introduced into the line-up will include Rocket League, FIFA, and Fighting Games, while League of Legends is also on the cards for implementation.
Bravado will also continue with its flagship Counter-Strike Global Offensive team, which had a successful run globally through its 2018 Project Destiny.
This project propelled some of Bravado’s most talented players into the international pro-scene.
A notable example is Johnny “JT” Theodosiou who competed for Cloud 9 before moving over to Complexity.
The current line-up of talent for these divisions can be found on the Bravado team page.
Support for Content Creators and Ambassadors
While Bravado Gaming continues to be an esports-driven brand, the company has spent the last few years building its content creator eco-system through its regional campaigns, activities, players, coaches, and managers.
“It’s finally time for MENA players to have the proper support, nourishment and leadership to help them tap into their full potential and show the world how much talent there is here,” said Bravado MENA division lead Ahmed Mosaad.
This support and sponsorship will extend to gaming enthusiasts and social and competitive gamers within the regions and across the divisions.
New venues across the MENA
In addition to the announcement about the expansion into new games and regions, Bravado Gaming will also be developing interactive venues in Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
These venues will be kitted with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that events, training, and boot camps are a flawless experience for their players and divisions.
These venues will also host a variety of public and private events.
