First Gears of War 3 DLC is for the Horde

With Gears of War 3 selling more than 3 million copies in its first week alone, we all knew that DLC was not far off, and indeed, it’s not.

On 1 November you’ll be able to get your bloody hands on the Horde Command Pack for 800 Microsoft points on Xbox Live.

It’s definitely a booster pack aimed at gamers who want to milk the multiplayer modes for all they’re worth – not adding to the single player campaign at all.

The pack adds 3 new maps to multiplayer – Blood Drive, Rustlung and Azura – and adds new fortification upgrades for you to use in the game’s Horde 2.0. Other add-ons include 3 more characters and 2 new weapon skins.

This pack is the first of at least four DLC packs to be released by Epic (as is indicated by the Gears of War 3 seasons pass which gives gamers a discount on the first four DLC packs), so there’s still more Gears to look forward to in the months ahead.

The Horde Command Pack DLC will be available November 1st for 800 Microsoft points.
