Silent Hill: Downpour delayed

You can add Silent Hill: Downpour to the deluge of games being delayed, according to a report over on Eurogamer.

It was originally scheduled to release some time in November, and is now forecast for a launch “during the first quarter of 2012”, come rain or shine.

Okay, I’m all out of crap weather gags.

No reason has been supplied for the delay, so let’s just assume that, on the way back from a corporate team-building event, the Vatra Games staff found themselves stranded in a strange, derelict town, and have been so far unable to contrive some kind of increasingly desperate escape.

It’s probably much more interesting, anyway.

Silent Hill: Downpour is the eighth game in the series, and the first developed by Vatra Games.

Rather than relying on the doomsday cults and the hot, evil nurses mythos of previous titles, the game will apparently focus instead on Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner who finds himself trapped in the town when a transport vehicle crashes there.
