Comparing the first weekend sales of PES 2012 to the first weekend sales of FIFA 12, EA claims that its game (FIFA 12) has outsold the competition by a ratio of 25:1.

This announcement was made during an interview with GamerZines in which EA Europe’s VP Keith Ramsdale said that, “when you look at Pro Evolution Soccer versus FIFA, only five years ago in the UK PES was outselling FIFA. On its first weekend like-for-like we’ve just outsold PES by 25 times.”

“That’s a sign of the momentum and the fan base and community behind FIFA, and let’s be clear, an absolutely kick-arse game. It’s unbelievable,” said Ramsdale.

EA has also revealed that it managed to shift a total of 3.2 million unites of FIFA 12 in its first week on sale. Three weeks after going on sale FIFA 12 maintains the second spot in the UK sales chart, while PES 12 in its launch week makes a comparatively week entry and number 5.
