Black Ops: Zombies for iOS gets new map and weapons

The Call of Duty franchise struck unexpected oil with their zombie survival mode which was tacked onto the fifth game in the series, World at War.

This became quite a sensation, and Activision have been developing the idea ever since.

One of these incarnations is on the mobile market, with Black Ops: Zombies for iOS devices. If you haven’t tried it, there’s no better time than now as Activision have released a big update, including a new map and new weapons.

The new map is “fan favourite” Ascension, and features “perk-stealing zombie monkeys, flesh-eating Soviet Zombies and much more in a trap-filled, Cold War era cosmodrome”. I don’t know what a cosmodrome is, but it sounds terrifying.

New weapons include the Thunder Gun, Matroyshka dolls, Gersh Device and the Sickle, whatever those may be.

For the trophy hunters there are more achievements to unlock, and Activision will throw in 5,000 CoD points as well.

If you’re already satisfied with things as they are, at least there’s a stack of optimisations and fixes as well.
