Dragon Dogma is one of those games that initially looked to be slipping under the radar, but Capcom are forcing people to realise that the Hiroyuki Kobayashi produced RPG deserves some serious attention.
In addition to the gameplay and story videos we’ve already seen, another feature is set to stand out in Dragon’s Dogma – the Ur-Dragon.
The Ur-Dragon is an “asynchronous, ongoing online encounter” in which players from around the world can join in and deal some damage, contributing to the worldwide effort to kill the seemingly invincible beast.
When (or if) the dragon is killed, all those who contributed to it’s demise will be rewarded, with the player who deals the killing blow receiving a massive bonus.
All players involved will get their names in an online Hall of Fame, to mark their bravery in taking on the Ur-Dragon.
