Black Ops II PC is getting dedicated servers says Treyarch

18 June 2012

For those of you who prefer to play games with those funny clackity key pads and electronical rodents, you will be pleased to know that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will also support your ranked dedicated server thingies.

Although the developer had previously been somewhat non-committal on the subject, Treyarch director of technology Cesar Stastny confirmed the news on Twitter over the weekend.

The first Black Ops also supported dedicated servers, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 controversially did not, leading many PC gamers to rage on the internet about how developer Infinity Ward hated everybody and wanted them to be miserable.

The next sequel, Modern Warfare 3, did include support for dedicated servers, but by then, many PC gamers refused to have anything to do with the game and the whole franchise because Infinity Ward had a shocking history of hating everybody and wanting them to be miserable.

Happy days are here again.
