Two members of LulzSec, the group behind many website hacking attacks, have pleaded guilty in a UK court to multiple charges of cybercrimes.
Ryan Cleary (pictured above), 20, and Jake Davis, 19, have come clean to their online antics, which saw LulzSec perform distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on a number of video game companies and corporate websites throughout 2011.
Some of claims against the group include hacking into Nintendo and Sony’s websites, and then some other less important things, such as the Pentagon, the CIA, and UK’s National Health Service.
While the two teenagers did fess up to the hacking allegations, they pleaded not guilty to more serious charges that they unlawfully obtained the confidential data and shared it across a number of popular hacker hubs, including their home base, LulzSec.com.
In March, LulzSec’s leader, 28-year old Hector “Sabu” Monsegur ratted out the rest of his cadre to the FBI as part of a plea bargain.
Cleary and Davis’ trial is set for April 2013.
