Realms of Ancient War brings hack-and-slash RPG to consoles

One genre lacking on consoles is that of isometric RPG action games (either due to control implementation or other issues), but Realms of Ancient War (R.A.W.) is looking to fill that void.

Developed by Wizardbox, Realms of Ancient War will provide gamers with a Diablo-esque gaming experience complete with deep dungeon crawling, and three unique classes – warrior, sorcerer and rogue.

The game features a co-operative mode, allowing you and a buddy to take on the hordes that await, along with a special incarnation ability that lets players take control of the game’s most powerful monsters.

The game follows the story of ruined kingdoms of dwarves, elves, and men, and with evil rising you’re pushed forward to handle the challenges that await.

Realms of Ancient War is scheduled to drop on Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC in September 2012.
