EA recently announced that they will be rebooting the Medal of Honor franchise next year with a brand new game. Simply known as Medal of Honor, the game will follow Modern Warfare’s lead by moving from WWII to a contemporary setting.
Medal of Honor will be based on a real war – Afghanistan. EA promises to recreate real events, and has worked closely with “US Special Operations Tier 1 Operators to create the most authentic modern war experience.”
Amazon has posted a release date for the game. According to the online retailer, Medal of Honor will become available on October 29 2010.
The official Medal of Honor Twitter page has provided a link to the Amazon posting, and in doing so has unofficially confirmed the release date.
