Senator apologises to gamers

30 January 2013

US Senator Leland Yee has apologised to gamers everywhere, after he claimed that gamers have no credibility in the violent video game discussion.

“Gamers have got to just quiet down,” said Yee in a previous interview. “Gamers have no credibility in this argument. This is all about their lust for violence and the industry’s lust for money. This is a billion-dollar industry. This is about their self-interest.”

Yee took to Twitter in an apologetic manner and shifted the concern towards the video game industry itself, and not the gamers.

Yee also went on to say that he respected gamers, but feels that the industry is at fault for profiting off children.
