Following the announcement of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, game developer Ubisoft has given further details regarding the action adventure title.
The next instalment in the Prince of Persia franchise will take place between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003) and Warrior Within (2004) and will detail the Prince’s efforts to save his brother’s kingdom from destruction.
Ubisoft has noted that the protagonist will “discover that great power often comes with a great cost” as he copes with a “new storyline, the introduction of new characters, and new powers over nature and time.”
The game, which will be released in May 2010 will become available on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
