Nintendo has revealed some of the details on the multiplayer and downloadable content plans for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.

DLC will be available for the 3DS game as it launches – the DLC will feature new Mystery Dungeons, items and Pokémon to interact with.

On top of the single player dungeon exploration of Hero Mode, the game will have local multiplayer. The local multiplayer allows up to four players in Companion Mode, which lets players to work together to explore and collect items, which then can be used in Hero Mode.

Players can also help out other players by tagging them using the StreetPass feature and reviving their fallen Pokémon using Reviver Seeds.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will release in North America on 24 March 2013, and SA gamers should look to some import options, as there is no current EU release date.
