Gears of War 3 – SA Grand Finale Tournament announced

South African gaming clan CMR and El33tonline have announced a new Gears of War 3 tournament to bring fans of chainsaw bayonets and curb-stomping together.

The Gears of War Grand Finale Tournament will encompass 4v4 matches of Execution and King of the Hill, and will run for two weeks (4-16 March 2013), with matches taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

There will be video coverage f the tournament via CMR’s YouTube channel. Matches will be uploaded, however, live streaming will take place if possible.

There are some prominent Gear 3 clans already signed up, but if you want to get involved and get your team into the action, submit your 4-man team (and 1 sub) via CMR’s contact page.

  • Date: 04 – 16 March 2013
  • Format: Groups & Single Elimination
  • Teams: 4v4
  • Registration: Maximum of 5 members per team (4+1 reserve) Please indicate who will be captain as well as a contact email address. Please submit registrations via the contact page. Registration closes 28 February 2013
  • Host: Private Each match will be provided a neutral host (+ ref) No team may play their match while in party chat (so that hosts/refs can easily communicate with teams)
  • Matches: Best of 3 (Execution – KOTH – Execution)
