Warner Bros has confirmed that the next instalment in the Batman: Arkham franchise will release in 2013.
The news came during a company earnings call, in which the CFO John Martin spilled the beans on the publisher’s plans.
“We expect [digital home video revenue] to grow close to 20% in 2013. And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise,” said Martin.
What exactly the game will be is unknown, although, in January, Warner Bros. registered a host of Arkham-related domains, which could hint to a possible setting.
According to a previous Variety report, Rocksteady Studios’ next endeavour could be a prequel instalment, which may chronicle the caped crusader’s first meeting with the Joker.
