Valve holds annual festive sale

Valve’s digital gaming service Steam has announced that it is currently holding a festive sale. As part of this inititative gamers will be able to download selected titles for up to 80% less than standard retail prices. 

Some highlights include:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl -$1.99 (roughly R15)

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising – $19.99 (roughly R150)

Defense Grid: The Awakening -$2.49 (roughly R19)

Mirror’s Edge – $4.99 (roughly R38)

With recently reduced international bandwidth prices and prepaid deals available for as little as R29 per GB this festive sale could prove lucrative for local PC gamers.
