StarCraft 2 MMO launched

19 February 2013

The long-in-development StarCraft 2 MMO mod, StarCraft Universe: Chronicles of Fate, has finally been released.

The mod, originally called World of Starcraft, has been released via Battle.net by Upheaval Arts, and while it isn’t multiplayer for now, the single-player playable build allows the developers to ensure the core systems work properly.

The mod features custom maps, eight playable classes, advanced character customisation, mounted vehicle combat, and a uniquely built custom physics engine.

The team is also not charging anyone for the mod, and say that all you need is your own copy of StarCraft 2. They do however have a page for anyone who is willing to donate, who will get a custom donator tag and perks, such as the chance to Skype with the developers.
