Developer Valve today released the top ten PC titles sold via its Steam digital download service for the 20th to the 26th of December period.
This may give some indication as to what PC gamers were most eager to purchase for themselves or a loved one over the Christmas season.
The list is as follows:
1) Left 4 Dead 2
2) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
3) Torchlight
4) Grand Theft Auto IV
5) Borderlands
6) Eidos Collector Pack
7) Id Super Pack
8) Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
9) Battlefield 2: Complete Collection/ Dragon Age: Origins
10) Red Faction: Guerilla/ Mirror’s Edge
Although it may seem surprising that Left 4 Dead 2 unseated the highly popular Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 at the top of the list Valve (who developed the Zombie shooter) offered an attractive discount on the game’s download.
