Rumours regarding the next Assassin’s Creed game are pouring in following the appearance of a photo of an alleged promotional poster.

The next game is said to be called Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and will be heavily inspired by the naval battles of Assassin’s Creed III, taking on a pirate-themed adventure setting.

The leaked artwork appeared on Kotaku, and showed another familiar-looking hooded assassin character aboard a ship, with a pistol and dagger held to some pirates.

The image itself seems like it could be from DeviantArt or some other fan-made source, however, an alleged screenshot and map of the AC4 world has also emerged on the internet.

Details have then began rolling in about the unannounced game via Examiner. The game’s protagonist is said to be Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway, and grandfather of Connor from Assassin’s Creed 3.

The map image reveals that the locations of Havana, Kingston and the Cayman Islands will all appear in the game.

The game is said to be scheduled for current-gen systems, along with plans for next-gen too.
