Capcom announced at a Microsoft press conference yesterday that Lost Planet 2 is scheduled for release on May 18 in North America and Europe. This is a bit later than many expected, as the game was previously billed for a Q1 2010 release.

The game is planned for release on both Xbox 360 and PS3 on the same day.

The publisher also announced that Super Street Fighter IV will be released on April 30 in Europe. Super Street Fighter IV is being called a title update to the critically acclaimed Street Fighter IV, and will include new characters and combos as well as rebalanced fighting engine.

The South African release dates are expected to coincide with European release dates.
