10 February 2010

Developers Ubisoft today revealed more information regarding its Assassin’s Creed franchise, giving insight into the follow up to recently released open world sequel Assassin’s Creed II.

“There has been a lot of excitement around the next instalment of [the] Assassin’s Creed franchise,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently revealed to investors.

“What we can say today is that it marks the return of the now legendary Ezio, but this time he will strike directly at the heart of the Templars order in Rome. In addition to this full new adventure, players will also be able to challenge their friends in a very innovative assassination multiplayer.”

The company also revealed that all of its currently announced games should be available in 2010, adding that the Xbox 360 and PS3 release of Assassin’s Creed II shipped “close to eight million units” in November and December.
