Apple’s iPhone just got a whole lot more appealing thanks to the release of Popcap’s super addictive 2D strategy/garden defense game, Plants vs Zombies.
Despite its simplicity, Plants vs Zombies was one of my favourite games released in 2009. Players basically have to defend their houses from waves of zombies using only plants. Of course these are no ordinary plants, and they come with an assortment of different abilities. Likewise, there are a variety of different zombies, all of which have to be accounted for when setting up your garden defences.
An iPhone version of the game is now available from the US app store for $2.99 (R23)
