Warner snatches up Batman: AA developer

Last year Developer Rocksteady Studios came from being a relatively unknown developer, to one of the most respected video game makers in the world when it released the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Previously privately owned, publishing giant Warner Bros. has purchased a majority stake in the developer.

“Rocksteady demonstrated its professionalism and extraordinary development abilities with Batman: Arkham Asylum,” says Warner Bros.

“We are proud to strengthen our association with WBIE, a world class publisher that we have enjoyed working with since we began developing Batman: Arkham Asylum,” says Rocksteady’s Jamie Walker.
