Nintendo has announced that the sequel to Super Mario Galaxy will be released on May 23, 2010. The first game is still widely regarded as one of the best Wii games ever made, making the sequel one of the most highly anticipated games on the console ever.
The gameplay will be similar to that of its predecessor , with a focus on exploring 3D planets with varying sizes and landscapes. There will of course be power ups such as the bee suit, and it will be possible to ride Yoshi and use his trademark tongue swipe to swing across gaps and grab stuff.
