Red Dead Redemption delayed

4 March 2010

Publisher Take Two has revealed that the release date for Rockstar San Diego’s open world western title Red Dead Redemption has been delayed by a few weeks.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 release, which was originally earmarked for April 27 has now been postponed to May 21 internationally.

Take Two confirmed that this will provide a “better release window” for the publisher and “more time to market” the title.

In addition the Red Dead Redemption website revealed that “these extra few weeks will make a big difference in helping us deliver you an experience beyond your expectations,” as “we at Rockstar have always prided ourselves on the uncompromising quality of our games – and will always opt to take a bit longer to polish and fine-tune a game to be as perfect as possible when we think it necessary.”
