Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to mix things up

8 March 2010

Billed as the latest “Lara Croft” adventure, and oddly missing the “Tomb Raider” label, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be a top down isometric platforming adventure game.

Gamespot got a first look at the game, and it truely does represent a completely new direction for the franchise. Except, since it doesn’t bear the Tomb Raider name, I’m not sure it’s really accurate to refer to it as being the same franchise as the previous Lara Croft games.

At any rate, it looks pretty cool, and promises basic arcade gameplay with a cooperative element and a strong focus on high scores and challenges.
