Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC sales strong

9 March 2010

Despite a noticeable trend of decreasing PC game and increasing console game sales in the market, insiders at Fudzilla report that the PC version is selling particularly well.

Despite the fact that there have been wide spread complaints about various bugs which inhabit the game, it seems that PC gamers looking for a solid modern online shooter are flocking from Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 4 to Bad Company 2. Even the biggest Modern Warfare 2 supporters are growing tired of the game’s ineffective match making protocol and poor online component.

The issues surrounding the PC version of Bad Company 2 are thought to stem from PunkBuster, and EA has yet to give word as to when we can expect a patch that will address the problems.

Fudzilla do not provide solid figures, but claim that “several sources close to the situation insist that the sales were much higher than DICE thought the PC version of the game would generate within weeks of release.”

Fudzilla also claims that sources report that since the launch of the game, there are frequently more PC gamers online than there are Xbox 360 and PS3 players combined.
