Tiger Woods title to feature PS3 motion control support

10 March 2010

Publishers EA Sports has confirmed that the next versions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour will feature Sony PS3 motion control support.

Referred to as  the ‘Arc’ it will bring advanced motion control hardware to the console – in direct competition with Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s upcoming Project Natal hardware for the Xbox 360.

What is worth questioning is conflicted release dates. Tiger Woods PGA Tour will be available in June but the ‘Arc’ will only be made available around September. For this reason EA has branded the game as offering motion control support rather than being a standalone motion control title for the PS3.

Upon release the title will also feature a number of upgrades from previous versions. These include better pin placements and improved physics system and variable wind gusts.
