NVIDIA edges into the living room with 3D software

16 March 2010

Graphics processor manufacturers Nividia today announced their intentions for the future of gaming with the release of software which will allow PC gamers to play games in 3D on the televisions.

Referred to as NVIDIA 3DTV Play it will allow any user with a 3D compatible PC to plug into a 3D compatible TV and play supported games in three dimensions.

Although this certainly doesn’t apply to the majority of PC gamers it has generated attention for a company which is rapidly losing market share in the PC gaming market.

Meanwhile PC owners and Nvidia fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the company’s Fermi range, which will bring DirectX 11 support based on a 40nm architecture to Nvidia fans.
