According to Daily Informer, publisher EA is now planning on suing the creators of South Park.

The most recent episode takes a stab at Tiger Woods and his recent infidelity which made headlines toward the end of 2009. It depicts mock scenes from the upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, depicting the game with arcade fighting segments, with Woods going head to head with his wife in combat scenes using golf clubs. The episode reportedly aired to 3.7 million Americans last week.

Apparently a source at EA contacted Daily Informer, saying “soon after the airing of the episode the top beef were called in, even Peter Moore was informed of the situation. Before the episode aired the marketing folks were already worried, but now they have a lot more to worry about”

The unnamed source goes on to say that “while I personally found the episode quite funny, there are definitely a few copyright infringements in there that I’m sure will be dealt with accordingly.”
