NAG LAN @ rAge tickets discussed

NAG editor Michael James has discussed the decision to use iTickets as the official ticket vendor of the NAG LAN, which is set to take place at rAge (Really Awesome Gaming Expo) in October 2013.

“We’re not going to be using Computicket this year because they’ve let us down two years in a row and didn’t seem very sorry the last time they screwed up,” said Michael James.

“The new ticketing solution is www.itickets.co.za; the downside is that they don’t have a physical presence – so unfortunately there are no stores you can walk into so ticket sales are only online. For those of you who can’t buy stuff online for whatever reason we are truly sorry. They do have a phone-in option but it will still mean having to give them your credit card info telephonically.”

James also elaborated on the two-ticket per person limitation that will be in play this year.

“Sadly circumstances have forced this option as there are many low-life opportunists who buy stacks of tickets and then sell them at a higher price to desperate people. Bottom line, never buy scalped tickets from anyone ever because you just mess it up for everyone else in the long run.”

NAG has announced that tickets to the 11th annual NAG LAN @ rAge will go on sale at 09:00 on 31 August 2013. A NAG LAN ticket will set you back R400.

rAge 2013 will showcase computer and console gaming hardware, PC, PlayStation, Xbox 360 and Nintendo games; gaming accessories from joysticks to headphones, comic books, figurines, anime, role-playing, cosplay, board games, creative arts, competitive collectible card games, local game developers and much more.

Day ticket: R70 per person (Tickets available at the door)
Weekend ticket: R120 per person
