Highest-paid professional gamers revealed

e-Sports Earnings has released a list of the highest paid professional gamers, revealing the winnings from some of the world’s best.

The list encompasses the highest overall earnings from competitive gaming and tournament prizes. It doesn’t include sponsorships and endorsements.

1. Fatal1ty (Johnathan Wendel) $454,544.98

Fatal1ty is one of the world’s most well-known professional gamers. The American found success playing first-person shooters such as Painkiller and Quake 3, which earned him large cash prizes and big sponsorships from computer companies.

2. Flash (Lee, Young Ho) $437,114.55

Flash is the most successful Starcraft: Brood Wars player in the world, and the Korean accumulated over $400,000 from his winnings, before transitioning to Starcraft 2.

3. Mvp (Jung, Jong Hyun) $377,116.38

Korea’s Jung Jong Hyun is a four-time Global StarCraft 2 League champion, and his successful reign of the tournament has allowed him to rack up over $377,000 in prize money from his exploits.

4. Jaedong (Lee, Jae Dong) $374,528.84

Like Flash, JawDong found his strength In StarCraft: Brood Wars, and used his skill to generate him over $370,000 before 2012, where he then tried his hand at StarCraft 2.

One of the top StarCraft 2 players in the world, Korea’s Jang Min Chul has made nearly $370,000 by regularly placing in tournaments of all sizes since 2010.
